Q. The figs on my `Celeste' began to ripen the third week of June, and I picked 6 gallons June 29. On July 4th, I picked another 5 gallons.

Then they quit ripening. The green figs eventually fall off. My fig tree is laden with green figs. I thought figs were supposed to ripen in August and September, but here we are in early October, and all are still green.
