The first time I saw a DNS server listed as 0.0.0.0, I assumed the device was broken. Pages wouldn’t resolve, internal services felt flaky, and the network monitor showed a sea of unanswered queries. That “address” looked like an error, but it was also a clue: the system had no valid DNS server and was telling me so in the most literal way possible.
