cannas plants - GARDEN
Even gardeners in Alaska can grow cannas since the long summer days give the plants lots of light to grow. When frost threatens, cold winter gardeners cut the foliage back and bring the containers inside where the temperatures do not go over 50 degrees. An unheated garage with proper insulation or basement is perfect for canna pots.
Understanding the Context
We are a small company located in sw Pennsylvania who grow a large variety of virus symptom free specialty cannas and some of the finest brugmansias anywhere. We also grow habitat, rain gardens, roof gardens, native plants, and a large variety of herbs and edibles. Back to the cannas - I think I'll probably have to divide and transplant mine after this season. I can easily see that it could split the pot.
