ASTER not compatible with Windows 10 Creators Update by Michoko » Mon 12:02 pm Hi, I just installed Windows 10 Creators Update, and to my surprise, ASTER told me that it was incompatible with this version. Fortunately, I could revert back to a previous Windows 10 build, as I had made a system partition backup. After upgrading to Aster 2.60.0 and Windows 11 version 24H2, I’m facing issues with monitor identification and workspace switching.
Understanding the Context
Are there any specific settings or documentation from Aster for configuring displays on Windows 24H2? Aster Multiseat is generally safe from what users report. It’s been used for years without major security issues, but if you’re unsure, it’s best to try the trial first before committing to a paid version or subscription. Also keep in mind, running multiple Steam sessions can still be limited by how Steam itself works, not just the software.

Re: Aster is not working by beast2040 » Thu 7:35 am Did you change anything in the system, for example, did you update Windows or the video driver before the problem appeared? Try installing the latest VC++ package and check again if ASTER starts. Re: Issue with the system while using ASTER by Robertkager » Sat 1:56 am Seeing these issues after installing a new driver, huh? I had similar crashes and connection problems with Parsec after updating my Nvidia drivers once. A clean driver install using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) fixed it for me.

Have you tried that? Re: Aster causing system to freeze by psychrabi » Thu 12:41 pm Please check your Windows Event Logs to see if any errors or warnings have been logged. Enabling ASTER alone wouldn't cause freezing. In our local system using ASTER, we have not experienced any freezing issues, even when the system is kept online for extended periods.
